Lovely that you decided to come by :)
We are building a community of passionate language learners here and would like to set up the environment that would be comfortable for each and every participant.
For that, we kindly ask you to follow the community guidelines we mention below:
Remember, that we are all humans, with our strengths and weaknesses, and you should not bully or intimidate others based on their special personality traits or behaviour.
Respect others’ beliefs, traditions, and mindset. Even if you don’t share them - no need to escalate on this matter.
Do not propagate your mindset, vision, beliefs or traditions, unless you are asked to tell about them within a course of the chat, in relation to the topic discussed.
Do not treat people based on their gender identification, knowledge or education level, origin, nation, race, health, physical or mental advantages or disadvantages, and any peculiarities they may demonstrate.
Keep your communication clear, calm and up to the point. We are all busy people and came here to practice our language, improve our speaking skills, and feel comfortable at every step of using this application.
Our customers like to stay anonymous in order to feel relaxed during the conversations in a foreign language. This helps to break the language speaking barrier, and we insist that you respect this and do not attempt to reveal anyone’s persona from this application.
Please, also read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use in order to understand your and our obligations after you’re subscribing to our services on the website.
This web application is pretty simple. We have a couple of roles for people using it:
Learner - the website customer, participant of the conversations, that can register/subscribe to the Learner plan, log in to their profile, add information, modify it, change avatar, join created chat rooms, or create their own chat room. They can like and find other participants based on the commonly learnt languages or shared interests. Learners can integrate the personal calendar and messengers to receive notifications / reminders about the upcoming chats. Learners should pay for the subscription when the trial period ends (2 weeks since registration).
Moderator also known as a Tutor - a professional tutor that can apply to get an access to the web application. Qualified Moderators get a link to sign up, can log in later, fill in their profile, join the chat rooms without a Moderator or create their own chat rooms. Moderators can prepare a plan for the upcoming conversation and post it in the text field in the chat room, when the conversation starts. They can write in the text field the new words that sprang up during the chat. They can ban the other users if those violate the Terms of Use or Community Guidelines. They are free to promote their courses / programs during the chats. They can use the web application for free in return for their chat moderation (minimum 3 chats moderated per week).
Support - or Admin - a representative of Fluentino that can resolve an issue, answer the questions the users might have or just support them in a moment of despair. They can ban the users for violation of the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use. They can approve or disapprove the Moderators.
